The Basics

New to Omni?
Let us show you how E-Z it is to ride.

  1. Plan Your Trip. Download a bus book, order a free bus book, use Google Transit or speak to a live operator toll-free at 1-800-966-6428 to determine your bus route, departure/arrival time and fare.

  2. Stand at marked bus stop so the driver knows you want to take the bus. It’s a good idea to get there a few minutes early.

  3. Read the route number in the lighted sign above the windshield to make sure you are getting on the correct bus. You can also ask the driver.

  4. Enter the bus through front door.

  5. Put your fare in the fare box. You can use dollar bills or coins, but you will not receive change for a cash fare. You can also use an Omnitrans bus pass for unlimited daily travel. 1-day and 7-day passes are available for sale on board, online, or at pass outlets. 31-day passes are sold online and at bus pass outlets.

  6. Find a seat. As a courtesy please reserve the aisle facing seats at the front for seniors and persons with disabilities.

  7. Enjoy the ride. Relax and let Omni do the driving. Remember no smoking, eating or drinking on-board.

  8. Signal the driver as the bus approaches the stop you want by pressing the rubber strip along the window.

  9. Exit from the rear door. Don’t forget your belongings!

  10. We hope to see you on Omni soon.
