Omnitrans for Seniors

Inspiration:
Seniors on the Go!

We’re pleased to introduce you to active seniors in our community who use Omnitrans to go wherever life takes them.

Meet Ralph Leon...

If you're 62 years old — or better — Omnitrans is about to become one of your favorite new ways to get around town. Riding the bus offers significant fare advantages to seniors — not to mention that we go just about everywhere you need to be!

Get Started:

  • Register for an Omnitrans Senior ID — this is the proof of eligibility you'll need to purchase fares at a reduced rate. It only costs $2 and the order form is available on this web site.
  • Check out our great deals on Senior bus passes — Seniors ride Omnitrans at a substantially reduced rate. Take advantage of it!
  • Learn how to ride the bus — If you haven't taken the bus in a few years, you might find that some things have changed. We think you'll find most of the changes are improvements that make riding easier than ever.
  • Match your destination to the right Omnitrans route — We've put together a list of popular destinations - and the routes that serve them. This page also has a trip planner and a phone number you can use to talk to one of our live operators who will be happy to answer your questions and help you plan your trip!.
  • Senior Events — Omnitrans participates in many events in your community. Some are designed especially for seniors like you! Check out our calender, then plan your route to the fun!

If you have questions, we're happy to help you:

  • The Basics of Bus Riding
If you're a newbie to riding the bus, here's a section with step-by-step tips for finding your route, finding a bus stop, and getting where you need to go.
  • For the Wheelchair Bound
If you use a wheelchair, you'll be happy to know that all Omnitrans busses are equipped with a lift and wheelchair accommodations.
  • Using the Fare box
In the good old days, you gave your fare or ticket to the bus driver. Now, you'll use the farebox (for cash fares) and the swipe reader for bus passes. The swipe reader works much like the credit/debit card readers at the market.
